Have you got an idea that could solve a problem? Have you ever dreamed of starting your own company? Kick off Tech Week with Startup Dunedin at our workshop where we will discuss finding your “why”, planning your way, and getting started on the web! Our speakers include:

Heidi Renata, Co-founder and CEO of INNOV8HQ: A Culturally Curious Wahinepreneur and a celebrated global keynote speaker, Heidi has over 25 years of experience in the tech industry, including a significant tenure at Vodafone NZ. She has received various accolades throughout her career, including the Otago Daily Times Business Leader of the Year in 2022 and Programme of the Year in 2023 for her Mana Rangatahi Programme. Heidi will discuss founder resilience – building a legacy, your values as a leader, and who is in your waka supporting you to success.

Becky Fox, Founder and business mentor: Becky helps purpose-driven entrepreneurs make more money and more impact through volunteer work, mentorship, educational programs and consulting. She started her first purpose-led business at 22 and scaled it to turn over HKD$1M p/a within 3 years. She now uses her experience to inspire and guide other leaders to results. Becky will cover systems for success – hot to set goals and achieve them.

Laura Bradley, Co-founder and CEO of Skillzea: with over 20 years of customer success, Laura puts what people want at the heart of her business. Her extensive validation techniques enabled her to create and launch an app for small, odd jobs, while building a community of over 20,000 Kiwis in 2 years. She assists Startup Dunedin with community engagement and teaches entrepreneurship at Otago University. Laura will chat about using No/Low-Code to build your first website.
